BCA (British Car Auctions) is predicting a rise in nostalgia for 80s cars as a result of BBC's ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Ashes to Ashes’ series. Following the best sales figures in the history of Mercedes-Benz, the luxury car maker is expecting to boost sales even further in 2008. Chief executive of Daimler AG, Dr Dieter Zetsche, predicted that worldwide sales would surpass the record figures of 2007.
