Volkswagen has introduced the first Eos petrol-engined model to feature BlueMotion technologies. The highly efficient 1.4-litre TSI 122 PS BlueMotion Technology Eos model can be ordered, in both S and SE trims, for £20,695 and £21,795 RRP on the road respectively. Driving a convertible car can cause serious ear damage
Research published in the journal Otolaryngology found that at 50, 60 and 70 miles per hour, the noise to the left and right of a convertible car driver reached between 88 and 90 decibels. This is much higher than the generally agreed 85 dB threshold level at which permanent hearing damage becomes a risk.
