Honda CR-V sales are bucking the trend
Honda's CR-V sales are up 48 per cent on its nearest competitor, proving the British-built model is still capable of bucking the trend three-years after it was launched.
This year, 6,531 units of the CR-V have been sold, boosted by a range of finance packages and a complimentary redundancy payment protection plan that provides added security for customers.
Honda is offering an array of finance options including 0% APR, low deposit and low monthly repayments at 4.9% APR plus savings of up to £3,100 off diesel CR-Vs. All CR-Vs purchased with Honda Finance benefit from complimentary redundancy payment protection which covers the customer’s monthly payments if they are made redundant for more than three months.
Honda’s 2.2-litre i-CTDi diesel engine is the most popular CR-V derivative, making up around 75 per cent of total CR-V sales this year. It boasts excellent fuel economy of 43.5mpg and lower CO2 emissions than many competitor models, yet its torquey engine still cracks 0-62mph in 10.3 seconds.
With plentiful interior and luggage space, great driving position and car-like, agile handling, the CR-V remains a favourite with many customers.
The CR-V diesel range starts from £17,995 on-the-road, with spring campaign savings available until 30 June 09. Diesel EX models also benefit from a reduced on-the-road price. Starting at £22,495 OTR they are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, DVD Satellite Navigation with Bluetooth Hands-Free technology (HFT), privacy glass, panoramic glass roof and rear parking camera as standard.
Honda’s advanced safety technology such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) can be specified as an option on EX models too.
