Qashqai: Nissan reports car sales up 46 per cent

Nissan’s year has got off to a strong start, with sales of cars and light commercial vehicles during the first three months of 2008 up 36 per cent. Qashqai and Note contribute to a total of 23,542 units sold, a 46 per cent increase and by far the greatest improvement among volume sales manufacturers. BCA (British Car Auctions) is predicting a rise in nostalgia for 80s cars as a result of BBC's ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Ashes to Ashes’ series.
