GSXR 1000: Motorcycle sales fall less rapidly than car sales people switch to two wheelers for their daily commute

Motorcycle sales in September dropped by 9.7 per cent – less than half the 21.2 per cent monthly decline recorded by the UK car industry. Total registrations of powered two wheelers (PTWs) last month were 16,431 against 18,204 a year ago, according to figures from the Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCI). Suzuki launched the Swift less than four years ago. Global production has recently passed the one million mark. Vehicles sold in Europe are built at Suzuki’s plant in Hungary which has so far contributed more than 306,000 to the total.
